This year’s program of The HOFBURG Saint-Silvester ball, will bring top-class performers from the Vienna State Opera, the Volksoper, big-name bands and orchestras, as well as catchy rhythms from waltz music to jazz to the former imperial winter residence. In addition to a spellbinding opening ceremony, you will be treated to an unforgettable midnight show against the backdrop of a spectacular firework display on Heldenplatz, the ringing of the Pummerin bell at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the traditional Blue Danube Waltz, and the popular public quadrille in the imperial staterooms of the world-famous Hofburg.

The four-course gala dinner is served on beautiful porcelain by waiters in tails. Your meal will be accompanied by fine wines from Austria and genuine French champagne. The New Year’s Eve gala dinner has been carefully crafted with outstanding attention to detail by Gerstner Catering.

Itinerary: Vienna – Heiligenkreuz - Mayerling - Baden - Paris

D1 Arrive Vienna, transfer to your hotel. Afternoon, little panoramic tour of Vienna: many rich monuments line the Ring of this old imperial capital: Parliament, the Opera House, City Hall, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Belvedere ... orientation tour to the city of the UN, the Danube and the Prater park, famous for the big wheel.
Dine in a Heuriger (typical tavern) in Vignerons district of Vienna, on the hill of the city.

D2 Breakfast and departure for Viennese forest. Visit the Abbey of Heiligenkreuz with a magnificent complex medieval cloister, continue to Mayerling discover the Hunting Lodge transformed into a chapel commemorating the tragic death of Prince Rudolf.
Lunch and continue to Baden, famous spa town, rebuilt and made fashionable during the Belle Epoque, this is one of the finest examples of Biedermeier art. Beethoven wrote a major part of his Ninth Symphony here.

D3 After breakfast, walking tour of the Old City: St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Graben, the Hofburg Imperial Palace. In the end free time in town centre for shopping. Lunch behind the opera.
